Given its goal to professionally mainstream youth with Intellectual Developmental Disorders, Nithya Saadhana recognized the need for training them in various vocational skills. And in order to identify their respective interest and potential, Nithya Saadhana designed a pre vocational training programs. The youth are enrolled in these skill development programs in consultation with their parents. The organization works with different established special schools which has helped the students, teachers and parents in recognising their potential and different skills.

Bangalore International School
Nithya Saadhana is proud to be associated with Bangalore International School since 10 years. The School follows the policy of Inclusive Education wherein all students of the school, regardless of their strengths and weaknesses, are a part of the school community. For the pre-vocational training program at the learning centre, Nithya Saadhana offers pre-vocational training sessions in a variety of domains for the older children. Its students are part of BIS’s integrated academic scheme of studies. We visit the school once a week for the sessions for the children with special needs.
Deepika School
Deepika is a school for children with special needs, specifically in the areas of learning disabilities, autism and related disorders. The theory of Multiple Intelligence and Neuro diversity emphasizes that children with such conditions have inherent evolutionary advantages that “matched with appropriate environment can help them achieve dignity and wholeness in their lives”.
At Deepika School, rather than insisting on academic performance, the focus is on neuro diversity and the curriculum is geared towards learning how the world works, so that the young adolescents develop social, emotional, cognitive and motor skills.
The school which began in 1998 is located in the Shankarmutt complex, Shankarpuram. As part of the curriculum for the senior children, Nithya Saadhana offers pre-vocational training sessions in different domains for the older children. For 5 years pre-vocational training in Electronics sub assembly has been provided to students. Students of our program have also received certificates from Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, GOI.

Nithya Saadhana is proud to be associated with Sophia Opportunity School. The school follows the discipline where in all the students of the opportunity school are part of school community. They believe in educating children with special needs in the main stream school environment. For the Pre-vocational training program, Nithya Saadhana offers sessions in data processing. It gives us immense pleasure in training these children who have imbibed discipline, ethics and morals in their life.
